Privacy policy
We collect the minimum we need to run an event and get you into a seat. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with other organizations, and we delete it when the event is over. This page explains exactly what that means.
Who we are
Concerned Christians for Mental Health is a group of local pastors, ministry leaders, and church members organizing educational events in Davie County, North Carolina. This website is ccmh.g7life.com. You can reach us at info@ccmh.g7life.com.
What we collect when you register
Our registration form asks for the following. Only the first three are required.
- Your name — so we know who is coming and can check you in at the door
- Your email address — to send your confirmation, the final schedule, and reminders
- Your consent to receive those emails
- Your phone number, if you give it — only used if something changes at short notice
- Your church or organization, if you give it — helps us understand who the event is reaching
- Your role — pastor, volunteer, parent, and so on, so we can pitch the material appropriately
- Dietary needs or accessibility requests, if you have any — passed to our caterer and venue so we can accommodate you
- How you heard about the event — so we know what is working
Alongside that, our system automatically records the date and time you registered, your registration status, whether you checked in at the door, and the IP address the registration came from. The IP address is kept only as a defense against automated spam submissions.
About the accessibility and dietary field. Please tell us only what we need in order to accommodate you on the night. There is no need to include a diagnosis, a medical history, or any detail beyond the practical. Whatever you write there is read by our organizing volunteers and, where relevant, shared with the venue or caterer.
What we do with it
We use your information to run this event and nothing else. Specifically: to send your confirmation and reminder emails, to plan seating and print materials, to give the caterer a headcount, to accommodate accessibility and dietary needs, to check people in at the door, and to manage the waitlist when seats free up.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with other churches, ministries, advertisers, or any other organization. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
We will email you about this event. If we later want to email you about a different event, we will ask you first.
Who else can see it
A small number of people and services necessarily handle your information in order for the event to happen.
- Our organizing volunteers — the people managing registration and check-in
- Our web host — the registration list is stored in this website’s database on our hosting provider’s servers
- Our email delivery service — processes the confirmation and reminder emails we send you
- The venue and caterer — receive a headcount, and any dietary or accessibility needs that affect how they prepare
Dwell Christian Therapy & Training, who teach the course, do not receive your registration details. They are presenting; they are not running registration.
We will disclose information if we are legally required to, and in a situation where someone appears to be in immediate danger we may contact emergency services. Neither is something we expect to happen.
A note about health information
This is an educational event, not a medical or counseling service. Registering does not create a clinical, therapeutic, or patient relationship with Concerned Christians for Mental Health, with Dwell Christian Therapy & Training, or with any of their clinicians.
Because of that, what you tell us is not protected health information, and it is not covered by the medical privacy protections that would apply to a therapist’s records. We treat it carefully regardless, but you should know the difference. Please do not send us clinical details about yourself or anyone else.
Cookies and this website
The registration form does not set any tracking cookies. WordPress, which runs this site, may set a cookie if you leave a comment or log in as an administrator. Neither applies to registering for the event.
Two outside services load content on our pages, and both will see your IP address and basic browser information as a result:
- Google Fonts — supplies the typefaces used across the site
- Google Maps — supplies the venue map on our home page
Their handling of that data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy, not ours.
We do not use Google Analytics or any other visitor-tracking or analytics service on this site.
How long we keep it
We keep your registration information until twelve months after the event, then delete it. If you would like it removed sooner, email us and we will do it.
Emails you have sent us, and our replies, are kept for as long as we need them to answer your question, and are then deleted.
Your choices
Releasing your seat
Every confirmation and reminder email contains a one-click link that cancels your registration. No login, no reply needed.
Unsubscribing
Email us and we will stop sending you anything. Since these emails exist to tell you about an event you signed up for, unsubscribing will usually mean cancelling your seat — tell us if you would rather keep it and just stop hearing from us.
Seeing, correcting, or deleting your information
Email us and ask. We will tell you what we hold about you, fix anything that is wrong, or delete it entirely. We aim to respond within a few days, and will not ask you why.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection, registration data is stored in a password-protected database, and access is limited to the volunteers who need it. No website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise — which is part of why we collect as little as we do and delete it when we are done.
Children
This event is intended for adults. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has registered, email us and we will remove the record.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Anything significant, we will email registrants about directly.
Questions, or want your information removed?
Email info@ccmh.g7life.com and a person will read it.
